MESSAGE FROM EDITOR

Asian Fisheries Society with its Gender in Fisheries and Aquaculture section (GAF), Fish Health Section (FHS), Asian Fisheries Social Scientists Network (AFSSRN) and AFS branches in India (AFSIB) and Taiwan (AFSTB) have been quite active during the first half of the year and have planned a number of activities in coming months as detailed under respective sections in the Newsletter.

We are looking forward to more contributions from Members (individual and institutional) on activities they are undertaking – results of research/projects undertaken, conferences and training programs being organised, for wider dissemination to not only to other members of AFS, but also to fisheries fraternity in general who visit AFS website.

Fisheries fraternity has lost one its outstanding scientist and member of AFS – Prof. Tsung Han Lee from Taiwan, who is a renowned fish physiologist. We pray for his soul to rest in peace and give strength to his family to bear the loss.
