Dear AFSSRN Members,
This is to announce that we have 10 nominees for the AFSSRN Executive Committee 2021-2024. As you are aware, the AFSSRN ExeCom is composed of 10 members and nine will be filled by election. The officers of the Executive Committee will consist of the Chair, Immediate Past Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and five members.

The Constitution and By-Laws of the AFSSRN states that voting shall be by secret ballot during the General Assembly (GA). The AFSSRN GA will be on November 24, 2021 during the joint international conference of the Joint International Conference of the Sixth International Conference for Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences (ICFAS 6) & Asian Fisheries Social Science Research Network Forum One (AFSSRN F1) following the Social Scientist Assembly that will start at 3:00 pm. The virtual nature of the assembly, however, poses a challenge to synchronous voting by the AFSSRN members who may not be available during the said event.To allow all members to vote, asynchronous voting shall be done on November 20 to 22, 2021.
Email notifications about the election process shall be sent to active members (all dues paid by November 15, 2021) on November 16, 2021.Please check your email before the start of the voting date.
