Dr. Meryl Williams, IIFET's 2024 Distinguished Service Award honored with the Margarita Lizárraga Medal

Dr. Meryl Williams, esteemed Honorary Member of the Asian Fisheries Society, founder of the Gender in Aquaculture and Fisheries Section of AFS and past Chair of GAFS, has just received another major award—the Margarite Lizarraga Medal—at the Committee of Fisheries. This was for her outstanding, long-term commitment to championing gender in Fisheries and Aquaculture.
