Dr. Rafael D. Guerrero III

r. Guerrero is the Executive Director of the Philippine Council for Aquatic and Marine Research and Development (Department of Science and Technology). He is an Academician (Fisheries Management) of the National Academy of Science and Technology and President, Philippine Fisheries Association, Inc.

Rafael graduated with a B.S. in Zoology and M.S. in Applied Zoology from the University of the Philippines, and Ph.D. in Fisheries Management from Auburn University (USA). He served as Dean of the College of Inland Fisheries of the Central Luzon State University in Nueva Ejica, Philippines and Director for Extension and Training of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center's Aquaculture Department.

He has published over 200 technical and popular papers on aquaculture, water resources management and vermiculture, and was involved in various fisheries, marine science and vermiculture programs with funding greater than US$ 20 million from national and international sources.
